The Bulgarian Theological College was founded in 1996 by a missionary couple – Jonathan & Daniela Augustine who had a vision for the education of the new generation of ministers within the Church of God in Bulgaria. Today – 11 years later, the vision is carried through by a capable team of teachers and staff. There are 25 full time students and the College has become the well from which all the rest of our ministries and programs spring forth. All our efforts are bases on the conviction that true care can only be offered when combined with Christian education. Jesus Himself first trained his 12 disciples, and then told them: “Go ye to the ends of the world.” We want to follow His example, that’s why our students are getting trained in the classroom, but then they go out and minister in the local churches and in social settings.

In our attempt to integrate our ministry within our local society, we decided a few years ago to start providing free computer courses in the computer lab of the College. We invited different groups of people to take advantage of these computer courses, and ever since the beginning of this initiative, this ministry has been one of the most successful tools for us to minister and witness to unbelievers. We have already trained the policemen from the Stara Zagora police department, teachers from a local public school, several groups of physically disabled people (with minor disabilities) sent to u by the bouro of labor, as well as socially disadvantaged children from the gypsy minority. Of course, together with the computer training we share with these people our faith and try to give them a practical positive example of what a Christian should be and live.

For the people who are already involved in full time ministry, or for the lay Christians who can not leave their work and families to come and study at the College, we have developed various educational opportunities, one of which are the weekend MIP courses for Christian leaders. We have trained already about 200 people and the program has become one of the most important educational tools in our denomination. Along with the MIP courses, we provide practical ministerial training through seminars and conferences on various topics. Over the years we have had many seminars with outstanding foreign and Bulgarian lecturers who have enriched the theoretical and practical knowledge of our ordained and lay ministers. Undoubtedly, these seminars and conferences have been instrumental for the building up of the faith and motivation of those had attended them.

Part of Care for All Ministries is the church planting ministry that was initiated a few years ago. Its coordinator Teodor Luchev has formed a team of lay believers, as well as full time students who travel with him to several villages in the outskirts of the city of Stara Zagora every week to minister to the people of the newly founded churches. Their evangelical efforts have already given fruit as we see established churches and believers who want to serve God there. The church planting team tries various creative methods for evangelism such as showing the Jesus movie, door to door witnessing, street evangelism, distributing of brochures, etc. it is a difficult ministry especially in today’s Bulgarian society, where the heats of the people are so hardened towards God, and lust only for the material things. But God is opening doors and our team is excited to follow the calling of God and to win people for His Kingdom.

This ministry is one, which has always been on the priority list of the team of care for All Ministries. It is directed towards helping children who live in orphanages. These institutions for children can not provide them with adequate care, that is why we try to do whatever possible to supply the urgent needs of the children. Currently a team of volunteers works in cooperation with several orphanages in and around Stara Zagora, providing food, clothing, fun activities for the children, as well as tying to find the needed resources to bring children with medical problems to doctors for treatment. The main desire of all who participate in this ministry is to see the smiles of these children, who are left by their parents, and forgotten by the society at large. These precious children need so much love and attention, when someone gives them genuine care – they respond immediately with a smile and a hug. They are so valuable in the eyes of our heavenly Father.
